The TV news is full of alarmist tales and videos of flooding over the roads and stops just short of predicting dire consequences for residents who might be cut off.
So our hosts in Mooroopna took us for a drive and yes, the river is very high and the lakes are larger than usual and yes, there is also water over the road in some places. But so far nothing that would really restrict normal day-to-day life.
