Newfoundland and South Australia

Newfoundland and South Australia share an unusal commonality.  They're both 30 minutes off regular time.

When we arrived at our hostess's home yesterday, not only did I get the time wrong by howing up one hour early, but I learned they are also 30 minutes earlier than their neighbouring state of Victoria.  So we were actually 1 1/2 hours early.  Oh my.

  1. Oh please. That's just Dad. He hates being late for anything. He often rings the doorbell a full 10 minutes before he was invited to be somewhere!
