Hundreds, maybe thousands of years ago, the soft limestone created this huge sinkhole in Mount Gambier and 150 years ago a smart local fellow made a garden out of it. Today it’s maintained by the city and it’s a beautiful spot. It’s a treasure hidden away and filled with the shadows of lives lived long ago. This is the way down into the sinkhole.
That is such a cool idea! Out here we'd just fill it up with stuff, or put fences around it and ignore it.
