Heritage Listed Tree in Willunga (south of Adelaide)

This amazing huge and gnarly tree is in Inge’s daughter’s yard.  It’s even heritage listed, which I never realized could be done to a tree.

The story is that the Aborigines used to come here to wash and eat their shells and cockles under the shade of this tree.  In their imagination they saw the thick gnarls and knobs as the faces of their lost ancestors.
